Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

Every neighborhood has its popular haunts that are frequented by regulars and “out of towners” alike. Cathedral Heights is no exception. While the neighborhood is a bit off the beaten path, their restaurants are worth the trip from downtown DC. Famous for their pizza, 2 Amys is an Italian lover’s paradise. Their menu is extensive, offering everything from your classic Neapolitan pizza to expensive bottles of wine. If you’re looking for more wine options, head over to Barcelona Wine Bar, a warm and inviting tapas restaurant inspired by Spain. They focus on clean and local ingredients and small plates, artfully created by award-winning chefs.

Cactus Cantina serves the best Tex-Mex in the area and resembles an authentic cantina. They can host more than 300 guests in their space and also offer Cuban, Spanish, and South American dishes. Jettie’s Sandwich Shop is another community staple in Cathedral Heights. They’re known for their signature artisanal sandwiches piled high with ingredients and their laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. Jettie’s also offers fantastic catering and has been a local favorite for over 15 years.
